Black Skimmer Photo

Obviously, not a South Dakota photo.  This was taken on June 23rd, 2005 at Assateague Island in Virginia.  The southern end of the island was closed to access for nesting Black Skimmers, Least Terns, and Piping Plovers.  Very cool in that you could see all three species, but they had someone making sure people didn't enter the area.  Taken with Canon 20D, 400 5.6L lens.
