American Three-toed Woodpecker

Photo of the Week (July 14th, 2019)

(archive photos of the week here)

Lifer!  American Three-toed Woodpecker!  Found in the western part of the Black Hills along West Deerfield Road. The highlight of a 2-day trip designed to fill in some gaps on my South Dakota life list! Not just a South Dakota lifer, but an all-time lifer.
