This photo of a pair of wild horses was taken on July 30th, 2016 at Teddy Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. There are a few dozen wild horses in the park, but they were extremely hard to get anywhere close to. We saw a small group frolicking in a lowlands from quite a long distance, too far to photograph, but the only ones that were remotely close enough to photograph was this pair we came across on a ridge top from several hundred yards away. Photo taken with Canon 70D, 400 5.6L.
