My Favorite: A pretty common sight when driving past a lakeshore or a wetland, particularly on the first warm days of spring when Painted Turtlees haul themselves out onto logs and rocks to bask in the strong spring sun. The photo below is from Lake Thompson, South Dakota on August 1st, 2004.
