This photo of a Lion's Mane Jellyfish was taken in August 2010 in Resurrection Bay in Alaska. The Lion's Mane Jellyfish is the largest known jellyfish in the world, with recorded sizes up to 8 feet across for the main body, with tentacles over 100 feet long! In fact, the Lion's Mane Jellyfish is usually considered to be the longest-recorded animal living on the planet today. This guy was only about 8 or 10 feet long.
