This was taken on June 25th, 2006 near Seward, Alaska. The Coho Salmon were running when I was there. This is on Bear Creek near Seward. They're not allowed to fish for salmon on the fresh-water creeks entering Resurrection Bay (I believe), and it's just amazing how thick the salmon are in some of these streams.
I wonder why it's called "Bear Creek"? I don't suppose a bear would show much interest in this, do you?
