Area #4 in the Lake Thompson Area, the extreme southern edge of the lake, has changed dramatically in recent years. Just a few years ago, when this was taken, there was significant open water, along with large mudflats that were tremendous for shorebirds. Now, this area is nearly all cattail marsh.
