Mating Pigeon Guillemot

Another "favorite photo" from Haystack Rock, at Cannon Beach in Oregon.  There weren't very many of these guys around when we were there, but it was certainly nice seeing them at close range.  They have such "soft" expressions, and those red feet are just so vibrant against their coal black bodies.  Really beautiful birds, and I happened to catch this pair mating on one of the exposed rocks at low tide.
