Horned Grebe Photo

Photographing birds is very, very frustrating at times.  There are the birds you see and can identify, and then there are the 1% of those that you can get a decent photo of.  On this very cold early April day, I was having no luck, until I came across this guy at Wall Lake in Minnehaha County.    Not quite in full summer breeding plumage yet, with some white still present on the front of his neck, but beautiful nonetheless.  Photo taken with Canon 20D, 400 5.6L.
