Canada Goose Photo
The photo that started it all for me!!! For some reason, never having done any birding or photography in my life, I ordered my first film SLR, which arrived on this day...December 2nd, 2000. Very cold day, quite a bit of snow on the ground, but I was determined to go out and try my new toy. The very first thing I shot...these geese along the only halfway open water at a gravel pit just down the road from our house in Brandon. I have no idea why I immediately went and started shooting these guys, but ever since that first day, I continued shooting primarily birds. Just a few short years later, and now that one day's experience has morphed into a web site with 5000+ pages, setting an alarm clock 3 hours before dawn so I can get to my favorite raptor spot by Presho by sunrise, god knows HOW many hours processing photos...I had no idea what this day would eventually lead to!!!
