Sandhill Crane

I'm a native Nebraskan, but my interest in birding didn't start until I was 33 and living in South Dakota.  I had never seen the spectacle of the Sandhill Crane migration along the Platte River in Nebraska.  That changed when I made the trip in March 2003.  It was great!! It was actually hard to isolate a subject for a photograph at times, but I was glad to isolate this pair as they fed near sunset in a corn field.  Equipment was Swarovski AT80 HD scope, Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera.
