Loggerhead Shrike

This guy was frustrating.  He was having a ball perching in this dead tree, going out and capturing a grasshopper, ripping the heck out of it, and doing it all over again.  I could never capture him with a grasshopper, as he kept coming back to different parts of the tree.  However...thanks to the distance I maintained while digiscoping, I was able to observe and photograph him without disturbing his natural behavior.  Very satisfying to me!!!   Equipment was Swarovski AT80 HD scope, Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera.
