Gyrfalcon

Technically not the greatest, but this represents one of the greatest thrills I've had since I starting birding, and a shot which really made me realize how cool digiscoping could be.  This Gyrfalcon was taken on February 16th, 2003, on Highway 83 just north of Interstate 90.  The bird was sitting on the ground off the highway...much too far away for regular 35mm photography.  I was able to get a very nice shot of a great bird with my digiscoping outfit though.  Equipment was Swarovski AT80 HD scope, Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera.
