Great Egret

One of my favorite birds, and obviously a very photogenic subject!!  With digiscoping equipment, you have the opportunity to capture close-up head portraits such as this, highlighting the green lores of a bird in breeding condition.  Taken on the Madison Waterfowl Production Area.  Equipment was Swarovski AT80 HD scope, Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera.
