Great Blue Heron

Unlike Florida or perhaps other parts of the country, water birds such as Herons and Egrets aren't that approachable.  Despite seeing them all the time, I never had a good shot of a Great Blue Heron until I got my digiscoping outfit.  This guy, as always, flew across to the other side of the pond when I approached.  No problem for my digiscoping outfit though!!  I got a very nice shot...looks great as an 8.5 x 11 on my wall as well.  Equipment was Swarovski AT80 HD scope, Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera.
