American White Pelican

Another of my favorite species.  I love watching these guys fly, especially when they're in a big swirling vortex...so slow and graceful.  It was nice to get a good portrait of one in spring breeding condition (as shown by the bump on the beak).  Equipment was Swarovski AT80 HD scope, Nikon Coolpix 4500 digital camera.
