Straw-necked Ibis Photos

Threskiornis spinicollis  

Not as urban adapted as Australian White Ibis, although we did see some Straw-necked Ibis on golf courses up in the northeastern part of Australia. They seemed to be more associated with farmland, as all of the photos below are in and around the sugarcane fields and pastures around Port Douglas. Really beautiful patterns and colors on their back if you see them in good light (not great light in the photos below!).
