Nankeen Kestrel are a species I saw quite often on our trip, particularly in and around the sugar cane and pastures of the Port Douglas and Cairns area. However, most were on powerlines or poles, and weren't very cooperative for the camera. And then, there was this guy!! He was taking a dust bath RIGHT by the side of the road, and wasn't going to let the guy with the camera stop him, despite me only being 3 meters away.
