Macleay's Honeyeater Photos

Xanthotis macleayanus

I had an absolute blast with these guys, Macleay's Honeyeaters. We stayed at the Rainforest Canopy Treehouses near Tarzali, and the owner provides fruit and seeds for feeding birds (and other critters). It didn't take long to find out that Macleay's Honeyeaters loved bits of banana! And that they would not only take it from your fingers, but they would be quite happy just sitting on your hand and gorging.
